Les Germany


Les Germany joined Pye in the 1930s and helped to develop the first televisions.

n 1939, moving to radar development, Les developed the Ground Control Interception radar, a big success, and an important part of Pye’s key role in the radar development.

After the war, Les moved back to TV, developing Automatic Picture Control, which prevented outside interference breaking up the picture, and was also involved in colour TV development.

Later he worked on TV Transmission, ending his career in Pye TVT.
