Peter Threlfall

Peter joined Pye in 1932 as a Management Trainee.

In the war, he achieved the rank of Lt Colonel.

In 1946 he became Pye's Export Manager.

In 1957 he was posted to Australia as Managing Director of Technico Ltd, Pye's Australian subsidiary. Over the next 10 years, he grew Pye Australia into a major industry.

1967, back in the UK, he became Managing Director of Pye of Cambridge, leading the Group through the early days of the Philips acquisition.

He retired in 1975.
