Radio Links - Medium Capacity

MC1500

1967

MC1500 was the Pye first-generation medium capacity 24-channel microwave radio relay links.

The equipment was all solid-state.

Although constructed in a rack and panel cabinet tray format, each equipment tray held 3 quick-release modular sub-units.

This design operated on frequencies between 1450–1535 MHz and was suitable for multi-hop operation carrying telephone, telemetry or data.

Transmitter RF output power was 2-Watts.

MC1500 was replaced by L300 in 1972.

L300

1972

This modern, solid-state radio link could provide carrying capacity of 8, 24 or 60 traffic channels according to model and frequency band of operation.

The equipment was available in a very wide range of frequency bands to suit the radio-regulatory frequency allocations in any part of the world, including:

380 – 512 MHz

890 – 960 MHz

1427 – 1535 MHz

1700 – 1900 MHz

Transmitter RF output power was 2-Watts.

L700

1977

This modern, modular, solid-state radio link was available in a slim-line vertical rack format or a conventional 19-inch rack and panel construction.

L700 could provide carrying capacity of 8, 12/24, 60/72 or 120/132 and was available in a very wide range of frequency bands to suit the frequency allocations in many parts of the world, including:

890 – 960 MHz

1427 – 1535 MHz

1700 – 1900 MHz

1900 – 2310 MHz
